Kentucky Downs is home of North America's only all-turf flat racing thoroughbred track. Originally called the Dueling Grounds in reference to a nearby site that was famous for pistol duels in the 1800's. Kentucky Downs is now the place to see competitors of the highest caliber spar on the track.

Kentucky Downs is located in Franklin, Kentucky near the Kentucky-Tennessee border. Its Fall meet takes place during the month of September with the highlight being the Grade 3 $500,000 Kentucky Cup Turf Festival.
